Arfur exists to help stories, languages, and cultural identity move from one generation to the next — not despite technology, but through technology shaped by people. We build for attention, belonging, and the transfer of cultural knowledge across generations.
The Name
Inspired by Old Norse arfr, meaning inheritance. We build technology that helps communities pass down what matters most — stories, languages, and cultural identity.

So Arfur builds technology designed to strengthen cultural roots in children and support meaningful, attentive experiences.

One framework runs through everything we build.
iOSE is the psychological framework behind Arfur: a short, repeatable cycle of pause, presence, orient and next step. It comes from the clinical practice of our Chief Education Officer, a clinical psychologist. It is not a feature or a module. It is the nervous system of the platform — the same four steps decide what plays, how a story is shared, how languages sit side by side, and what happens when the screen closes.

Indigenous Heritage
Indigenous heritage, on the community's terms.
Indigenous and minority-language communities carry living oral traditions: the Sámi across the Nordic countries, the Kalaallit of Greenland, the Igorot of the Philippines, the Maasai and San of Africa, the Quechua and Guaraní of South America, and many others. Those languages and stories belong to the communities that carry them, not to us. Any work with an indigenous community begins where that community wants it to begin: free, prior and informed consent; access, rights and ownership settled in writing first; local cultural expertise paid for as the professional work it is; and the right to say no at any point.
