What a story session looks like
Nothing plays next by itself, and a session has an end. You read or listen to one story together, with a few conversation prompts to open it up. The heritage language sits next to the other language in the home, so a child and a grandparent can each hold on to the words they know best. And each story closes on one small thing to do afterwards — a question for a grandparent, a word to try, a tale to retell at dinner.
Who it is for
Families living far from where their stories come from, homes where two or more languages meet, and anyone who wants a child to know the tales they grew up with. You do not need to be fluent or know the stories already; the cultural context comes with each tale.
Safe by design
No ads, no data selling, and none of the tricks that are common in children's apps — no invented time pressure, no characters pushing purchases, no rewards for coming back every day. Personal data is handled under GDPR and stored within the EEA, and every story is reviewed by people with knowledge of the culture before it is published.
